Since 2003, the Entrepreneurship Forum has recognized emerging talent in academia through its annual Young Researcher Prize, celebrating impactful work in entrepreneurship and small business research. This year鈥檚 recipient is House of innovation researcher Mohamed Genedy, whose work sheds light on the often-overlooked downsides of entrepreneurship across different ownership structures. Today, he will receive the SEK 150,000 prize at the national research conference in 脰rebro. We spoke with him about what drives his work - and why it matters.

A new study published in The Journal of Technology Transfer by House of Innovation researcher Maria Cecilia Flores suggests that when universities actively communicate about entrepreneurship programs and provide education on starting businesses, students become more aware of opportunities and perceive their environment as more supportive of entrepreneurship.
